In the middle of Syria desert, lives a group of dung beetles. They offer a public service by rolling faeces of big mammals. But one day, a huge sound resonates in the ancient city. It’s the beginning of a period of massive destruction, with explosions and screes. Lettering
This lettering express the movie’s intentions, like horizontality of shots or heaviness of matter. Here, typography become architecture. Letters seem to suffer from gravity, the -o- (which reminds the dung beetle ball) is unbalanced and the -ll- are unequal. The typography announces that even this type of structure does not resists either time or destruction.
